ISBNdb has recently launched a new mobile scanner feature which makes it much easier to access a book’s data by scanning the barcode.
Lately, we have made two major improvements to our book database, enabling users to access even more comprehensive and accurate information about books.
The first upgrade is a new data point-related ISBNs. This feature allows users to reference other ISBN editions and formats related to a particular book, providing a more complete picture of the book’s publication history.
Festivities are around the corner, and everyone is waiting for Santa to put presents in their Christmas stockings.
ISBNdb is more than happy to join forces with Santa and make the holidays even brighter.
We are excited to announce that we have increased the API request limits for our Premium and Pro plans, providing our valued customers with even greater flexibility and power.
Under this new arrangement, the Basic plan will continue to have a 1 request per second limit, while Premium Plan subscribers will benefit from a 3 request per second limit, and Pro Plan subscribers will enjoy a 5 request per second allowance.
We are delighted to announce that thanks to our upgraded crawlers, our database is expanding at an unprecedented pace.
We want to inform you that API 1.0 is discontinued and will no longer be supported. However, all existing API keys will continue to be valid, and you may continue using them without any interruptions to your service.
To ensure that your code runs seamlessly, we recommend that you format it according to the latest API 2.0 documentation, which can be accessed at https://isbndb.com/apidocs/v2.
Effective April 23, 2020, we will no longer be providing support for API 1.0. This means that if you are currently using an old plan that utilizes this version, you may continue to do so, but please note that we will no longer be issuing any updates or providing assistance in the event of technical difficulties.
We’ve significantly reworked our crawlers to gather more data and made them faster. In addition, we’ve increased the number of data sources to expand our database more efficiently. Consequently, not only will we add many more new books, but any missing data for existing books will be added to the database faster as well.
We’ve released the new search feature, with the help of which you can get more accurate and relevant search results both via the web interface and the API.
We have recently launched a new beta search feature to deliver more accurate search results. The new search includes an improved algorithm that takes into account a wider range of criteria to generate more precise results.
In addition to enhanced accuracy, the beta search feature also includes the ability to filter results by title and author, providing you with greater control over your search results. These filters make it easier to find the books you’re looking for.
